Marathon values the health and wellness of its employees and retirees, and their families. Health Promotion opportunities and resources that provide information and education are available locally and at a company-wide level. Participation in these offerings heightens awareness and assists in maintaining and improving health, improving compliance and performance, and ultimately leads to a healthier, safer workplace.

Marathon complies with applicable laws, regulations and other requirements for a safe and healthy workplace for employees and contractors. Employee Health benefits and services are based on employment practices for local employees in communities where Marathon has operations. Infectious and chronic disease risks are monitored and minimized through international, regional, and local surveillance and control programs.

The Company's Industrial Hygiene Standards provide systems for identifying and addressing employee exposures to chemical, physical, biological and nuclear hazards through engineering controls, work practice controls, and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitoring.
HES policies and standards cover health programs for international travelers, hearing conservation, chemical handling and storage, respiratory protection, industrial hygiene monitoring, and other potential workplace health issues.
