Marisa Riesinger
Marisa Riesinger “hacked” into the minds of her K-5 students at Lincoln Elementary by implementing the correct tools to stay safe and learn about technology. At Lincoln Elementary. Riesinger works to help prioritize computer science and cybersecurity education among the students. Her students learn to evaluate information, protect their passwords, establish a positive digital presence, and use strategies when they encounter online risks.
Marisa's numerous “plugged” and “unplugged” STEM activities help her better understand computer science and cybersecurity. She resourcefully uses community members and high school students to encourage her K-5 students to “back-up the data” and apply it. By doing this Riesinger has helped her students to see the world that is STEM and the different people and components of it.
