Job Summary:
Assists the Accounting / AP / Compliance Supervisor or Accounting Manager in all designated tasks to ensure the Company follows accepted accounting practices within Equatorial Guinea and the United States and maintains proper financial records.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare routine and non-routine journal entries.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial recording of oil, gas and product revenue transactions and related volumes.
- Prepare and analyze monthly closings and monthly financial statements.
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts including required support.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports; adjust to changing business needs.
- Prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
- Assist with year-end closings including preparing analyzing support to be used in the annual 10K report produced by Marathon.
- Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable including monitoring for timely collection and payment.
- Preparation of inter-company and external invoices.
- Perform account reconciliations on revenue related general ledger accounts and resolve
- Gathering, analyzing and preparing BEAC report.
- Assist, coordinate or lead responses to MMH including ad hoc information requests and regular meetings.
- Complete general ledger operations in accordance with task list or as required.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Supervisor.
Department: Finance & Accounting
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance or related discipline.
Experience: Preferably 2-3 years’ experience in Accounting & Finance
Skills/Knowledge:
- MS Office Suite (Access)
- SAP, SharePoint
- English Language Level 4

Job Summary:
Material Control candidate will be a part of a material control team that oversees the inventory of materials and supplies stored in warehouses. Generally responsible for ensuring inventory levels are maintained, assisting with dispatching, and managing the movement of goods within the warehouse. Candidate must be able to work unsupervised at times and requires occasional coaching from Material Control Team Leader to carry out day to day function of performing the physical material management duties and responsibilities. Candidate must work to support company vision, strategy, culture and values in the areas of Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of the work.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating inventory records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Performs tasks dispatching material, issuing material to users, posting issues in SAP in a timely manner and filing documents under supervision.
- Provide general assistance with Project Material Control Team such as receiving, moving and storing materials.
- Understanding of the criticality of accurate and timely receipt of goods and materials.
- Identifying and resolving any discrepancies in inventory records.
- Supporting Business Partners by collecting and preparing materials from inventory for issuance.
- Implementing and maintaining inventory policies and procedures.
- Conducting regular inventory audits and stocktaking activities (Cycle counting process), principally to verify physical quantities of materials stored in the warehouse.
- Assist with the movement of materials between storage areas.
- Promotes and supports Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of the work. Understands and applies company’s ROMS, Process safety (PSM) and OSHA based HES processes and systems.
- Understanding of material control management strategies, inventory control requirements and maintaining formal audit trails.
- Capable of using ladders and walkways safely, and how to inspect for hazards.
- Good understanding of manual handling, lifting techniques and hazards.
- Basic understanding the method of storing and handling chemicals, hazards involved and the purpose of a Material Data Sheet (MDS).
- Understanding how to identify safety signs and the significance of formal pictograms.
- Collaborate with others to achieve common goals and positive results; contribute to the effectiveness of our teams.
- Basic application on how to report near misses, incidents and accident, the difference between a near miss, an incident and an accident and the importance of reporting near misses.

Education: Minimum high school certificate
Work Experience: Warehouse and Inventory experience
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
- Intermediate Computer literacy
- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
- SAP system
- Driver license is required.
- Forklift Certification preferred
- English Language Level 3/4
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish are required.
