Marathon Oil encourages you to enroll in direct deposit of your royalty payments. By using this service, your funds will be deposited directly into your bank account, eliminating the need to go to the bank to deposit your checks. This will ensure there is no delay in receiving your funds. Over half of Marathon Oil’s owners currently receive their payments through direct deposit. Marathon Oil Revenue Statements and 1099s are available on EnergyLink. To see a guide on how to read your Revenue Statements, please take a look at the brochure below. Your Revenue Statements will continue to have additional information detailing Tax and Adjustment codes. Also, if your property is located in North Dakota, the cause of a prior period adjustment, if any, will continue to be added on your statement.

We have been made aware of scams where unauthorized third parties using Marathon Oil’s name or logo directly contact individuals, including by email or text, to: solicit information, such as complete nine-digit Social Security numbers; and/or request payment to change contact or payment information within Marathon Oil’s records. Please be advised that Marathon Oil will not ask you for complete Social Security numbers or request payment to change existing information within Marathon Oil’s records.
